Personal & Family History
David Kiteley was born at end of WWII on October 10th, 1945 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His father, Raymond Valentine Kiteley was killed in a fiery plane crash (just 3 months before he was born) while serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force. David was raised in a single-parent home by his mother, Violet.
The family sacrificed much to do God's work. David slept on cots in Sunday school rooms or in the basement of a small home where they lived with his grandparents. They would empty their refrigerator to the poor and needy, but the Lord always provided--they never went hungry.
David was saved at 5 years of age, and water baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit at age 7. He has always had a passion for God and loved the Church. Even as a teen, turning from his faith was never considered. He attended elementary school in Vancouver and High School in Surrey. He received his Bachelor of Theology at Shiloh Bible College, Masters at Southwestern and Doctor of Theology at Christian Life School of Theology.
David married Marilyn Sigurdson in New Westminster, B.C. on March 29th, 1966. She was an Icelandic girl (born in Canada) who was baptized Lutheran, saved at age 12 years and baptized in the Holy Spirit at age 16 years. She prayed for salvation for her family over the period of 30 years and saw many come to the Lord including her sisters, brother, parents and grandma at age 100.
David and Marilyn have two children. Patrick who is married to Marlena, and is the Senior Pastor of Rain Church, Atlanta and daughter Melinda who is married to Javier Ramos, Senior Pastors of Shiloh Church, Oakland.
